About Joan

I have been selling real estate since 1993 and considered myself a Londoner since moving here in 1980. Prior to my career in Real Estate, I worked extensively in the non profit sector.  I consider myself a community minded individual who enjoys involvement in the events and activities that London has to offer. Over the years I have served on various Board of Directors which include Youth Opportunities Unlimited, London and St Thomas District Crime Stoppers, London Childbirth Education Association and as well as Vice Chair of London Middlesex Housing Corporation (now referred to as London & Middlesex Community Housing) as well as 2 terms as a member of the Board of Directors for the London & St Thomas Association of Realtors better known as LSTAR.  Additionally, I have been an instrumental volunteer and fundraiser for organizations such as Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Canadian Mental Health Association, London Women’s Shelters, Alzheimer’s Society and the London Urban Resource Center just to name a few.

I have always been driven by helping others and this passion has developed into a professional focus on first time home buyers, assisting in the transition of seniors while enjoying a specific interest in heritage properties in the older part of town as well as details specific to condo living having both lived in a condo complex and holding the position as President of the Board for a London Condominium Complex.

First time home buyers will benefit from my expert knowledge of the London area, my commitment to educating my clients about the home buying process as well as my vast network of professionals to draw upon in order to enhance their purchase and ownership experience.

Additionally, I was resident residential real estate expert on Newstalk 1290 CJBK’s radio program "Ask the Experts" for 28 years, providing Londoners with real estate advice and an up to date approach to "real estate matters" This ensured access to specific marketing data and statistical information to give my clients an marketing edge.

My interest in working with seniors in London developed out of my love for my grandmothers, both of which lived well past their 100th birthdays. My Father’s Mother lived to 106 year and my Mother’s Mother to a ripe old age of 109 years. My continued work in coordination of services for this population is a key reason for my continued service and is ever expanding.

The needs of seniors is very different from other buyers and sellers.  They often need more assistance and access to resources than the typical home buying or selling process provides, and it is for this reason I obtained two separate professional real estate designations (SRES and ASA) to assist in the transitioning of seniors be it to a more independent home or a care facility.

I bring this experience and expertise while helping my clients find the right home at the right time in their lives and for a price that is acceptable to them. You can be sure that I will listen to your needs and dreams, doing what it takes in exercising my knowledge base to make your dreams a reality. Just as I have always been a dedicated member of my London community, so too am I committed to each of my clients. You can be confident that I am committed to YOUR success.
I’m Joan Ball and I will be at your service
in fulfilling ALL your real estate needs.
